Surah Yunus Ayat 81-82 recounts an incident involving Prophet Musa (Moses) when the magicians, after witnessing his miracle, threw down their staffs, and they appeared to him as if they were moving snakes. In response, Prophet Musa, confident in the power of Allah, said: “What you have brought is only magic. Indeed, Allah will expose its worthlessness. Indeed, Allah does not amend the work of corrupters. And Allah will establish the truth by His words, even if the criminals dislike it.”
In simple terms, when the magicians showcased their tricks, Prophet Musa recognized it as mere magic and assured them that Allah would reveal its emptiness. The verses convey a powerful message about the supremacy of Allah’s truth over falsehood, even if wrongdoers resent it. The incident emphasizes the strength of faith and the unwavering belief in Allah’s ultimate authority.
