Surah Al-Lail, which translates to “The Night”, is the 92nd chapter of the Quran. It is a short but profound chapter consisting of 21 verses. This surah emphasizes the contrast between human behavior and the consequences that follow, particularly in relation to one’s belief and actions.

The surah begins by swearing an oath by the night and what it conceals and reveals. It then discusses the two paths that humans may choose – the path of gratitude and belief in God, leading to a life of ease and contentment, or the path of disbelief and ingratitude, resulting in a difficult and challenging life.

Surah Al-Lail encourages reflection on the signs of God’s creation and the consequences of one’s choices. It serves as a reminder of the importance of faith, gratitude, and righteousness in determining the course of one’s life in this world and the hereafter.
