Surah Al-An’am Ayat 162-163 contains a powerful declaration of faith. In simple terms, these verses translate to: “Say, ‘Indeed, my prayer, my rites of sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Lord of the worlds. No partner has He. And this I have been commanded, and I am the first [among you] of the Muslims.'”
This passage serves as a clear proclamation of monotheism and submission to Allah. The speaker affirms that every aspect of their life – prayers, sacrifices, existence, and eventual passing – is dedicated solely to Allah, the Lord of all creation. The declaration reinforces the concept of absolute monotheism, rejecting any partners or associates with Allah. It concludes by stating that this commitment to Allah’s commandments makes the speaker among the foremost Muslims, emphasizing the importance of submission and obedience to the divine will.
